New Milestones for Managed Services
By Bruce Hassed on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016
After launching our Managed Services Division earlier this year we thought we’d share how our latest offering is developing. We caught up with Lynne Dhami, Head of Managed Services for an update.
What are some of the client highlights for Managed Services?
I am really excited we are supporting three clients in our managed services team now. We administer superannuation for one of our Acurity clients and we have added them to our managed services team with great early results. Another client is new and live, with another one half way through their build.
We can already see how the managed services approach provides a smarter way to do things. The team is applying things we learn from one client across all our managed services clients and this means every client gets the best out of Acurity and the deep industry insights from Financial Synergy.
I can give you a couple of examples. For one of our clients we are developing short instructional “Tips on How to use Acurity” videos which will be available from within the platform itself. We can we see how this can benefit other managed services clients and their admin teams.
For another client we have refined our data migration procedures and testing process – and timing. We see how we can apply this much earlier in the process for our managed services clients to improve the Acurity user experience.
And what about the team – any new additions?
We’ve started the build out of our local team with some new faces. We have opened the new office here in Wollongong to be close to one of our clients and are building a team with a mix of business and technical specialists.
Our latest additions are Garrett, Graeme and Stuart and they have joined the team already here along with Grant and Michael who have been seconded to the Managed Services team here in Wollongong. Plus we have our Melbourne-based team of 10. The mix of locations and skill sets creates a dynamic working environment and we will continue to add new faces here in Wollongong over the next 12 months to provide additional client support.
How are the plans for a Centre of Excellence progressing?
We launched the Managed Services division with a full commitment to establishing a Centre of Excellence – a new way of doing what we do. Every week we learn something new and right from the beginning we are adding value. For any action, we are taking it up a notch and because we know the product and we know the people we are supporting we are able to update our knowledge, share this knowledge across our managed services client base and produce new benchmarks. In effect this is our new IP and we couldn’t be more proud of the team and its results even in these early days.
